VAILELE, UPOLO

Vailele is located on the central north coast of Upolo, 15 minutes from the Samoan capital of Apia. It has a history of coffee being grown there since the 1800's under German administration and more recently by the state owned Western Samoan Trust Estate Corporation.

FUATIU FAMILY

The family of Fuatiu is working closely with their cousin Kereta to create a coffee growing and processing business. The family farm has established plantings of Arabica coffee from the WSTEC plantations.

These plantings are situated in idyllic conditions surrounded by a large banana farm and waterfalls, and are tended to by Fuatiu and his extended family.
